Match Report

Iain Anderson hammered in a late goal to drag Dundee into a replay on Tuesday night.

The midfield kid set up his side's first equaliser then grabbed the crucial second leveller with a glorious shot just six minutes from time.

But he confessed: "I didn't think I'd get a chance as there was a crowd of players in front of the ball.

"But when it landed at my feet I saw the chance and I'm delighted it went in."

Ando, who signed a two-year contract at Dens Park during the week, also insisted that he would have had a shot instead of setting up Lee Power's 50th- minute goal had he not been about to fall on his backside.

He said: "I was all set for a shot myself but I was about to slip and I managed to knock the ball for Lee to score."

But his 84th-minute strike was just what the visitors. deserved in a match which had all the ingredients of a crack ing Scottish Cup tie.

It got off to a flier in only three minutes when Derek Lilley scored from the penalty spot after Craig Tully brought down Warren Hawke.

After Power pegged Dundee back just after half time it was end-to-end stuff.

In the 75th minute Hawke stabbed home from close range and Dundee kept fighting until Anderson equalised.

Home boss Allan McGraw said he looking forward to more of the same on Tuesday.

He added: "It was a great game with exciting football and a fair result.

"We're still in the Cup and I'm happy."

Satisfied Dundee manager John McCormack said: "We played how I wanted us to play and overall I think we deserved at least a replay."
