Manager's Programme Notes

I would like to offer a warm welcome to today's visitors Partick Thistle who gave St Johnstone a good run for the Championship finishing runners up.

Unfortunately, our last few games have been very poor, resulting in us dropping out of the title chase. The initial upsurge in results in November & December had us all excited as to what might be, however we could not sustain the momentum. Our season changed when we had the 3 draws away to Partick Thistle, Ross County & Dunfermline losing late goals in each game.

The players' response to the changeover of management has been excellent, we have had our fair share of injuries but we cannot and should not use that as an excuse for poor results. We have to make sure we are better prepared for the task ahead next season and it is to that end I will be doing my best to add good players to strengthen what is already a good squad.

Your support has been magnificent throughout, home & away and the players & management thank you and look forward to the same next season.

Enjoy the game.

See you next season.
