Biography

Jim Easton was a centre half who was signed from Hibs in 1964 for a fee of £7000.

Before joining Dundee, Jim had been capped for Scotland's U23's against Wales. He was regarded as a bright prospect, but unfortunately for Jim before his move to the Dee, he had broken his leg twice.

He made his debut in a 2-1 home defeat by Hearts in October 1964 and was a regular in the side for almost seven years. He scored his first goal for the club against FC Zurich in 1967-68 and although transferred listed by the club the following season, he didn't finally leave the club until 1971 at the age of 30.

In total made 203 appearances for Dundee and went on to play for Queen of the South and Miami Toros before emigrating to Canada.
