Biography

A product of the Dundee Youth Academy, Max Anderson made his debut for the club as a second half substitute in the Scottish Challenge Cup against Elgin City in September 2019.

Anderson would make his breakthrough into the first team there following season, playing a big part in the play-off success. His league debut came in the opening day 6-2 defeat away to Hearts and he notched his first goal for Dundee in a 2-1 win at home against Inverness Caley.

Despite the following season seeing Dundee suffering relegation, Max played the majority of the games and won Young Player of the Year for the club, an award that he deserved.

Max wouldn't feature as much as he did the following season under new manager Gary Bowyer and would have to make do with the majority of his appearances coming from the bench, but he did managed to find the net 3 times as the club bounced back to the Premiership at the first time of asking.

The young midfielder would sign a new two-year deal with the club in the summer but with plenty of competition for his spot at the club, he was loaned out for the season to Inverness Caley Thistle, with his season ending up with his loan club being relegated in the play-offs to League One.

After returning to Dundee, Max was sold to Crawley Town for an undisclosed fee.
