Biography

Another Donald Mackay signing, the nomadic striker began his career at Pittodrie, but went on to serve Ayr United, and St. Johnstone. Sandwiched between his spell at the Perth club, Walker turned out for San Diego Sockers before moving staying Stateside with Atlanta Chiefs.

On his return to Scotland in 1980, he rejoined Aberdeen, but before joining Dundee in 1983, Walker had a spell with South China of Hong Kong.

The striker played a total of seventy-two games for the club over two seasons, making his debut against Montrose in a League Cup tie in August 1983. It was a scoring debut and the first of twenty-one occasions on which he found the net - a creditable total given that he netted almost a goal every two games. His last appearance came in a 4-0 defeat away to Clydebank.
